OK, BabyT, just a quick look through the various migraine meds and I came up with a few. It appears that with Cymbalta you need to avoid the "triptans" and there are a few which are not. I don't know which meds you have tried before, if you've had a reaction to anything, etc. but here it goes:
If you get them a lot you can take a few daily for prophylaxis: Blocadren, Depakote, Topamax, and atenolol.
If they are tension/muscle contraction you can take a barbiturate medication: Esgic-Plus, Fioricet (with or without codeine) or Fiorinal.
And, lastly, the other options include: Cafergot, ergotamine, Midrin, Migranal (this one is a nasal spray).
Again - I don't know what other medications you take and if any of these would be contraindicated because of them... but at least it is something to go to your pharmacist with and ask if you can use any of these before going to your doctor.
Edited: You posted right before I had, so here's some responses. Unfortunately, I have felt like a burden here at home for the last 2 weeks because I have hurt so badly. I have actually resorted to staying up until 5 a.m. and sleeping til the afternoon so I don't have as much contact with them and they don't see me limping and hobbling around, crying because of pain, and being depressed. This too shall pass. However, I don't feel that way here at HW just because everyone is in the same boat. I think you, Pani-ke, and I have formed a quick bond....must have if even the moderators have sensed it!
