Am I ON ENOUGH MEDS!!!!

HELLO LADYS AND GENTS!!! You all know my story and how long i've been suffering from P/A! I am on Zoloft 100MG one a day,Hydroxizine 50 MG three times a day or as needed,and Xanax for occasional sleep or severe melt downs!!! Which i've been having alot of lately!But lately i have been feeling like crap,i see everyone else whose taking meds for this and they are taking a series of meds so im starting to wonder do i need to be on something else because i am on a downward spiral! For a while like everyone else i feel like i'm doing better but then i start back having symtoms shortness of breath,the out of body feeling i'm sure you guys know what i mean by that,heart palps and worry,worry.worry!!! So i'm wondering do i need to add some other kind of med to the ones i'm currenly taking.I think this is probably a question for Kitt or Lyn? Or anyone who can give me some input!!! Thank you tons guys!!!Feed back appreciated! confused

Sometimes meds poop out or you just need to be on a different one.  Right now  Lexapro and Cymbalta are popular as they have more antianxiety coverage then some of the older generation drugs.  If Zoloft was working for you, then I would say stick with it.

Vistaril (hydroxyzine) is a good drug for relaxation and will help you with the anxiety but it is not intended for long term use ( more then 4 months) Reference: PDR Pocket Guide; 7th Edition.

There are a lot of meds out there and I think your physician would be open to trying a new med if you are not getting good coverage from your current med.  Please talk to your Dr.   We want you to feel better.

I totally agree with Kitt here plus I would like to add that with some ppl zoloft can and will make them more down .......depends on the person...
I would really talk to your doc about this if it were I

I'm on zoloft, and found it a miracle for 12years now I don't really know if it's working to it's full extent but I don't want to change anymore. I also take zyprexa which works on helping to stop racing and negative thoughts
I'm also going back on clonazepam daily which is purely to treat the anxiety. Most the drugs will have a different thing it works on, you may find they need to fine tune you.

Nope. I think you need a few more meds. At least 12 or 13 more pills!!!
Sorry, At one time I was on 13 a day, between CD drugs, anxiety, depression meds, meds to cournteract the side effects
of said meds, plus meds just because the doctor thought hed get a free trip for prescribing unecessarily.
Maybe discuss a reeval of what is working and needed and what maybe could be stopped.
Have fun and don't choke those pills down.

Could be you need a higher dose, lower or other meds added, and even different meds. Is hard to say. The very best thing is to call your Dr and let him/her know what is going on and how you are feeling. Sometimes we all go through different meds to find out what is best for each on of us.

Sharann........... I get what you mean. Been there and done that. To many of this and that, and here are ones for the side effects. Oh here is another try it and see how you feel and it goes on and on.
Finally a fews back I got a new Dr, and really let myself be heard loud and clear. Shocking this time around this Dr got it.
Plus I had to get it 1st.

Thank you guys i'm going to try paxil 20 mg,i started them last night i hope they work. Wish me luck!!!! I'll let you all know how it's going!!!
