Well everyone... some of you know I'm AFRAAAID of grocery stores...

last time I tried to go into one I lasted all of 20 minutes.. with a bad panic attack

so last night I went at like 10 pm... and I stayed in the grocery store for AN HOUR ANd A HALF!

I got everything I needed which was sweet and I'm happy about that.

I was panicky when I was walking through the doors so I just took it slow whenever I felt a bit panicky and just distracted myself and NO panic attack...

That is fantastic!  I'm so impressed with you!  I know the amazing feeling of facing your fears and doing something that you want so badly to do and I hope that is how you are feeling right now.  The more you do something, the easier it will get, so keep going and you will do this!  I'm just so proud of you!!!!!!!

Ya know I hate grocery stores too...not to mention Wal-Mart. My boyfreind wanted to go on Saturday to pick up something, and I would not get out of the car. Not necessiarily because I am afraid of a panic attack, but because it is a baffeling ordeal. I have found a small grocery store near wear I work that is more managable for me. I also get really dizzy b/c of the flourescent lights erflecting off the white floor.

I think for people with anxiety it is just far too much stimulation. We are already constantly over-stimulated.

Congrats to you..........that is awesome.  I do my shopping when the doors open at 8:00 a.m.  I am the first one in the store and the first to get out lol.

They know me very well at the grocery store.  I have the whole place to myself.  Keep up the GREAT work :-)
