Brand new here - is anybody even here?

Hello Can't cope.  I am here and wondering if you could give me a bit more background.  You are not going to die right now from anxiety.  Take a deep breath and let it out and tell yourself you are ok.

Hey there, I think you need some hugs and a good day.  I won't go into any lectures on smoking but I will tell you that it may be a good idea to see your physician and have a good check up to be sure there is nothing physical going on with you that could be causing the frequency of the anxiety and panicky feelings.

You may want to discuss a different medication with your physician as many times people have shared stories re how the med they were taking just quit working for them.

You will find many members here who understand exactly how you feel.  I have had depression and anxiety for 26 years and I have been on a med all that time.  A couple of years ago my med just quit working and I have spent 2 years trying to get the right combination and still do not feel as good as I used to.  I understand what you mean by you would like to have just one day when you felt happy and the thought of anxiety never crossed your mind.

That would be so great.  I say let's do it,  let's kick this anxiety garbage to the curb for one full day so we can have one without worrying.

I really try to stay in the moment, don't worry about yesterday as it is in the past and we cannot change it.  Tommorow will get here soon enough so lets plan one good day and perhaps it will lead to another.

I'm so glad that you found this site, it is the best for support and understanding of what you are going through.  I've been exactly where you are a couple of times during my years with panic and anxiety.  The constant anxiety, constant symptoms is the absolute worst.  I agree with kitt here, get a good check up and then check into some different meds and even try a therapist who specializes in anxiety disorder, if you don't already have one.  It does get better, hang in there and keep posting your concerns here, there is great relief in finding others who share what you are going through!

I am glad you have joined us and as you can see there are many others who know exactly what you are feeling.

I always refer to my days of feeling isolated as like being " alone in a crowd".  I feel a bit like that right now. I get confused and just end up crying and trying to figure out what to do but I get stuck on the Meery-go-round of self blame as it must be me.  After all just look at all the happy people out there smiling and laughing, why am I feeling this way.

I try to stay in the moment. I always try to not get stuck in the "stinkin thinkin" mode.  It is not me so quit with telling myself I am hopeless and keep on taking babysteps toward freedom.

Hey there T,

My dog peed in my bed, needless to say she has beautiful big brown eyes but I just took care of it and steam cleaned the mattress twice.

I still have anxiety. 

The trick is, I have anxiety, it does not have me.
