Hi All.

You were so wonderful with all your responses about my anxiety of the surgery.  The surgery is now over and all the anticipatory anxiety was for nothing.  The anesthesiologist was wonderful.  They gave me something to relax me right before we headed to surgery and the second I was on the table they had already started the anesthesia and I remember NOTHING after that.  So, now I'm at my folks house and propping my feet up and icing and generally bored already and it's only been a day.  Could be a long 2 1/2 weeks off my feet.

My anxiety is still with me (as it always is) but much calmer now that the surgery is over.

Whoo Hoooooooo, Kudos to you Diane and glad to hear you sailed through the surgery.  The med pre-surgery is how I would like to feel, calm, drowsy and just not worried. devil    I guess there is a reason they don't sell that at pharmacies.  We would all be just to calm.

Keep icing your feet and mend well.

Dianne, I am so happy for you, take care and I hope you get to enjoy a bit of time for yourself.  Congrats on beating anxiety yeah

Diane,

What great news! Take good care of yourself and rest up. I'm so glad the anxiety has been more low key for you now. Good support from the folks around you, even when they're strangers like the anesthesiologist, makes such a difference!

Diane,   That's great news!!  Now, try not to get too bored - I hope you have some things to do and make sure to follow those doc's orders by staying off those feet.  We want them to mend well.  Keep posting to let us know how you are doing.   Take care, Wen

You all are so wonderful here.  Thank you for the kind thoughts.  We're having yucky bad rain storms here this weekend so it is a good weekend I guess for me to be stuck inside with my feet up.  I'm really bored already and still have 2 1/2 more weeks off my feet.  It sounded great when the doc first said 2 1/2 weeks of rest but now I'm tired of it already.  Oh well, what can I do but nap and watch lots of TV.  The pain meds are doing wonders for my anxiety too.  Making me so sleepy and dopey that I don't notice the anxiety.  Definitely will have to be careful and not take too many of them.
