where are they letting things go

first it was 9/11 then the war, then the environment, then want ever they can think off, for fuel, i went to get my med today and it was $90 then $95 a month later now $100 a month later, then our insurance gave us a nice hurricane deductible of $3400 and if we pay $700 more a year we won't have the deductible anymore, people are not getting payed more but they are raising things so high, a lady i knew in moss bluff had a nice restaurant and she had to close because no one eating out anymore. its getting where i think that they are letting us fall, sorry for the rant but its just making me feel worse and worry more.

It is depressing when we see so much bad news going on around us. Sometimes, it makes me feel low because it seems like too big a problem for one person to fix; sometimes I feel low because I'm one of the "victims" of the situation. Either way, all we can do is take one step at a time, just as we do with our anxiety. Many of the solutions to formerly big problems came from someone who had a small idea and just let it grow (think Red Cross). For folks caught in the crossfire, we use those baby steps, I think, similarly to how early pioneer families did, where slowly, stability gets established, but the former "comforts" of civilization perhaps do not.

It's difficult, and sad, and either way, those of us who care will always have to make sacrifices to try to address these issues.
