Agoraphobia and Health Anxiety

I not only fear having Anxiety or Panic Attack whilst out.I also fear becoming sick or dying..never heard of a Health Anxious Person having Agoraphobia with HA..

I too have the fear of going out and getting sick. It's so bad that I usually avoid going on vacations and dates with my husband. I'm sorry to hear you feel this way. You are strong though. You will get through this. I believe in you!

Health anxiety and agrophobia come under the same (miserable!) umbrella, trust me you are not alone in feeling this. I have managed to combine OCD, anxiety and claustrophobia (bit like a club sandwich of no fun).....

Please feel free to share how you are feeling around all of this, and please, do not feel like you are alone.

Thirsty,

I fear going ANYWHERE..am trying to remember anything that can happen outside can happen inside my Home..When I say sick,it's not just a Nauseated/gonna puke sick,but a struck down with a major illness sick..sometimes I feel so bad (sick) that I don't think I can go any longer..thank you for believing in me coz I have hard time believing in myself..I greatly distrust my Body..

So there are a lot of People who have HA that also have Agoraphobia?How on Earth do they get to the Doctor?It must be a living h*ll!It sure is for me!

I am feeling very scared.A feeling that I don't have any control over my Body/life and that I fight with a "force" to have control so nothing bad will happen to me.

Can you get a doctor to visit you? Or a trusted friend to drive you, mindful that you are REALLY anxious????? I am so sorry that you feel trapped, that is awful, just remember how far you have come. We all support you brave woman!

There is a member Ken who has not been on in some time but I will IM him he has not or was not able to get out of his house nor see a doc for over 2 yrs
he had the doc go there............

I am sure he will post as he has gotten thru much of his agoraphobia and it is really a good story for ppl that have same issues or phobias...........
