Question bout bpd and meds

Wel is bit of broad subject but how can i tel if i hav bipolar disorder. I think the meds are making me bipolar b dnt really kno how to tell.

Did you just start the meds? Last week I increased my dose of Wellbutrin (I take it for anxiety) and for about two days I had terrible mood swings and was concerned I was developing BPD (I also have major health anxiety, so you can imagine what a field day I was having with the whole thing). After a few days of taking the new dose though, the mood swings disappeared. My doc said it was most likely just a reaction to the new dose of meds, people's brains need time to readjust to new stuff.

I've heard that certain anti-depressants can trigger a manic episode, although from what I understand it's not very common especially if you don't have BP. Talk to your doc and see what they say. Sometimes certain anti-depressnts can also heighten anxiety which makes you more sensitive to changes in your body, including moods, so it could also be a function of your anxiety. Either way, talk to your doc.

wel cant afford togo to docs rite now, plus i got new doc never spoken to them bout anxiety stuf jus go ther pick up meds n leave. I'l try reading some the post on the BPD forum,

No been taing my meds for over year now, i jus increased the dose recently it seems to have helped alot. Did this wivout consulting doc btw but i think i really needed to do it alot of stress rite now.

Hey skitt agree wiv everything u say, i wud never diagnose myself based on info off the forums. I jus wana find out more about bpd, if it looks likely that i do hav i wil go docs, dnt worry ther.

Only increased my dose after careful consideration i wasn't coping to wel wiv stress recently. I hav spoke to doc bout incresing my dose before, i was only on minimum dose before. See im not as disorganised as i appear :P

If you have bipolar disorder certain medications, SSRIs seem to be the biggest offenders can put you in a manic or hypomanic state. I'm having a ton of issues with that myself since I need SSRIs to curb the OCD I have but cannot take the rapid cycling that SSRIS enhance as part of my bipolar illness.
