i live in louisiana and where about to get hit again with a possible hurricane i live close to the texas side, i stayed home through rita a 12 hours of terror which thankfully this storm is not as strong are at least i hope it doesn't get stronger, i know this is one of my biggest anxiety's of this time of year i need to move north somewhere i am tired of going through this. sad

Machelle,

Stay in the moment and do not anticipate that you will get hit again.  It is like my poor Mother-in-law whose cabin was hit my tornadoe.  She is sure the path has been established and the tornadoe will come again. 

Remember the forcast changes constantly and I believe you have a right to feel anxious.  We are here for you my friend.

I'm hoping that the weather changes. Try not to let the negative thinking get in control. Stay busy, but stay alert (just in case)

well it didn't get bad at all here i am glad, i know i have some kind of post traumatic stress about hurricanes after rita, i just got to get stronger, and not be so scared, thanks for being there though, its just one of my things i got to get over one day

You did great! You may well have PTSD, have you had it checked out? There is great therapy for it these days (I have a friend who went through that Tsunami tragedy, lost her husband and children and she is doing a lot better now).

Machelle,

You have every right to get the "spooks" over a hurcaine............it would scare me.  You know you can always head up to MN..............we only have floods and hurricanes.
