Going to the Dentist Today - Lord Be with Me!!

I am quite nervous as I stay mostly at home and this is on the top of my list of places I HATE to go!! I am only having a cleaning so hopefully it will be quick, but my stomach is acting up a little (I have lymphocytic colitis) so praying I can get that under control and just get this over with. I am very blessed that my loving husband always schedules an appointment at the same time so he will be there with me, which REALLY helps!! I am praying I don't have numerous cavities and issues that need even more work (I usually do my mouth is a disaster zone and has been ever since I had kids and also told it could be due to acid reflux issues).

Just thought you all could send up some nice thoughts for me I could use them today!! I hope everyone is doing well.

And when you say your mouth is a disaster zone, what do you mean? You have a lot of fillings?

I am sending up a prayer to the tooth fairies (not the kind you give money for baby teeth!)..I hope all goes well with you and that they find your teeth in pristine condition. Take some deep breaths..phew!

Thanks everyone!!! I did it. My stomach did act up some and I had to excuse myself, but she had just finished up with the polishing and we were waiting for the doctor to review my x-rays and tell me what work I needed. Usually, I need at least one crown and some fillings (that is what meant by my mouth is a disaster) and my husband gets out of there free as a bird. This time was he has to get two crowns (unfortunately will cost us about $1,000.00 after insurance - OUCH!!) and I was told there are a few spots they are watching but I was was okay for now - AMEN I think the heavens opened up!! The nurse did give me all this special toothpaste that was really expensive and told me I had to use special mouthwash b/c I have "tacky" plaque and my mouth is very dry and bleeds and it is very possibly it is due to all the medications I take. I think that the antibiotics I have to take before the dental procedures (for MVP) combined with the nerves just make my Lymphocytic colitis go haywire and my stomach goes crazy! I just praise GOD that I don't need any work done b/c I don't know how I would get through that right now.
