Kitt,
I posted because it upsets me so much that I COULD have Anxiety.I never know if my Friend is talking to me,her 12 Year old Granddaughter,23 year old Daughter or her Daughter's 19 Year old Partner!
Hey Sydnee,
I left the post in place, and I understand your reason for posting it. No problems. Just a gentle reminder
Lyn,
This goes on at my Friends House. If her 12 Year old Granddaughter,Adult Daughter or her Daughter's Partner are there they intrude by talking with or asking my Friend questions whilst we are conversing on Telephone. It bothers me,because it's rude and disrespectful!
Karen,
My Friend let her 23 Year old Daughter and her Partner move (rent free) into her other House.Well, her Daughter lost her Job and her Partner quit her Job (they won't keep a Job),so they had no Money to pay the bills.Friends Daughter told her Mothe she lost her Job because her Boss discriminated against her because she is a ***.I'm really not buying. The Daughter is a drama Queen and can out do any Daytime Soap! She and her Partner are also lazy. After losing and quitting their Jobs they wound back up at my Friends House. It obviously bothers my Friend that they intrude as I've heard her tell them many times,"I'm on the Phone."
I can come more understanding a Toddler butting in,but a 12,19 and 23 Year old should know better. The 12 Year old Granddaughter has some form of behavioral problem and doesn't listen or pay attention. With my Friend,I can't always express my thoughts or how I feel about particular things, because she is a "get on the defensive real quick" type Person.
Last Night my Friend and I were talking and her loud Mouthed Daughter was laughing up a storm. You can hear her laugh from here to California!THEN she started playing the Piano,so interupted by asking her Mother questions about the Notes/Key's..it was like a full fledged Piano lesson for 10-20 minutes.I was getting "bent out of shape" and should have said,"Well, since you are giving your rude attention seeking drama Queen Daughter a Piano lesson I'll hang up and maybe we can talk later like when they go back to the House you let them move into."BUT instead of being rude,I held the line..
My best advice on this topic is to tell your friend to call you back when she is not busy. Do this in an assertive manner and not in an aggresive mode.
We've all been in situations where someone's behavior is rude or inconsiderate, and telephone use seems to be an area where many people forget their otherwise good manners.Good luck and take careKitt
