you are still so young, it takes ages (and ages and ages..) to figure out what you want to be doing and what you feel comfortable with. If you are happy doing what you do then please don't allow your doctor to belittle you are make you feel shame (remember though..no-one can make us feel anything if we stay true to ourselves. We are the owners of our own emotions).
If you need to cry, then cry, it's okay. All I would suggest is that you do challenge yourself occassionally. Sure you like what you do, but you don't seem very happy with your current situation. Taking smal steps and trying new things slowly and gently may just help you to feel more confident and not so blocked.
