PANIC ATTACKS••
I'm sharing my experieces with this in order to maybe help others.
I awake from a short sleep always at night with a rapid heart beat. I'm on buspar now and it seems to help.
Now I have only experienced these attcks about
3 times in the last 6 months. But before buspar I had them 3 times a week. I wake up feel tense. Usually I turn on the TV but I never do anything physical.I set up in bed. I try and watch tv to get my mind off of the near panic I'm experiecing. Sometimes I can do this . Last night I had been to sleep for 2 hours, sometimes dreaming. Woke up to slightly accellerated heart beat.Tried to keep my mind off of it but it didnt work. I can feel the "rush" so to speak into my arms and the anxeity increasing Now my heart is getting faster etc sweating under arm slight shakyness .
Here is what I do.... Grab a small piece of xanex 1/4 /1/2 of a pill. grab a plastic bag and start breathing into concentrating on the breathing not fast just normal breathing.Sometimes it takes 15 min. sometimes 35 min. I try not to think of anything but the sound of that bag as I breathe into it. Sometimes you think its about
over and i get that rush feeling into my arms and starts again
My advise to all is to go to the doctor and let he do some tests on your heart so you can rule this out, as most people are worried about
the rapid heartbeat associated with these attacks. Buspar does work. I just donot take the 30 mg a day as prescribed. A whole pill (15 mg) taken at once makes me dizzy and tired so I take half in the morning 5 mg at noon another 1/2 at night.
Funny thing as in the summer i donot have these problems
it a mind over manner thing i believe..
