Thank you for the wonderful welcome all. To answer some of the questions. I am not currently in therapy mainly due to insurance issues and also because I have tried it before and it really did not help me at all other than being able to get meds. I am on antidepressant Paroxetine which I have been on for three years now. As far as the seroquel, yes it helped me with the swallowing problem and I never had a panic attack while on it. The reason I quit taking it was because I had read up on long term side effects of using it and was worried about
developing them. Tardive dyskenisia was the side effect I was most worried about
because of working in the MRDD field for years, and seeing clients that had been on psychotropics for years and many of them had developed this. It causes involuntary muscle twitches in face as well as other places on the body and is permanent. I will talk to my doctor about
the Zyprexa.
I have learned to control the anxiety to a point when I feel it coming with deep breathing and focusing my mind on one thing, like playing a word game or counting. It's not always possible for me to do, it depends on the severity of the attack. Thanks again for your welcome and input.
