Week or two in the winter cold

  Ok here we go again lol, but I know that there are a lot of new members here now that don't know me I'm freezinginAK (aka) Cowboy up and I hope to be on line more and get to know all of you here

  But this thread is just about anything you wish to talk about and have fun with about are lives in the winter time or what ever

  I have been out line for some time due to my own heath problems but I'm getting by, I have not had any p/a's in over 1 and 1/2 years now (thank God)

  But a little about myself, I live in Alaska and have been daeling with a/p for over 10 years I live in a kind of remote part Alaska and love it here as I can in most way's live off the land from hunting and fishing and yes Kitt I did get my moose this year and I hope your hubby gets his deer soon. Some guy just got mauled by a brown bear on Kodiak Island this past week but is ok and just cut up bad from it as he ways dragging the deer to camp but that's not new as the bears here seem to be right on top of taking game from hunter there as it like ringing a dinner bell when they hear a gun shot.

So glad to see you back. got the old moose did you?  Good for you.  No deer yet as of last night. My hubby won't give up until dusk on the 31st of December.  He had prostate cancer surgery on the 27th of August and he is not up to speed 100% yet so he is not using his favorite bow, you know the one with all the bells and whistles. 

He so loves hunting.  Bless his heart.

We do have a lot of new members and they are awesome.

You will enjoy meeting them and again welcome home.

Hi Cowboy... I'm Mary... Alaska whew... I'm originally from the Hudson Bay area of Northern Canada.. you know... trees, trees... a lake... trees, trees, trees, black fies and mosquitoes .... trees...
and in the winter... freezing colds... our coldest was -72 degrees fahrenheit with the windchill factor... we made the Guiness world record book one year. The trees crack from the cold... and so do the houses...
I spent most of my life up there, but am now on southern Vancouver Island where there is very seldom snow. My daughters and I don't miss the shoveling... but oh... we do miss our white Christmas'
Glad you got your moose.... dad, my brothers and cousins are trying to get theirs... no luck so far. ... plenty of partridge though.
Welcome back to Healing well... will look forward to your posts. I'm an old regular... suffer with PTSD, GAD, depression , Crohns' disease etc... but this family has gotten me through soooo much ... I don't know what I would do without them.

  It's good to be back, and we are getting snow right now but at lease it is soom what warm lol today, days are getting shorter thats for sure.

   Lyn I had a buddy of mine that has a gold mine up north and he spent the whole summer up there and got snowed on 2 times in July but came back with 13 oz of gold is all but we did kind of had a cold summer this year and not a bad fish run and Kitt my opp is on the 19th of this month for my left arm where they are going to move the nerve over in my elbow and on my wrist with the CTS then after I heal from that I go right back in and have the some thing done on the other arm (oh joy)

  So how are all my Cowgirl's doing? I sure hope that you are still getting back up on the horse after falling down lol

  Buy the way we did finally got us a new Scotty puppy that is now about 9 months old now ( wow has it been that long now) He's a hand full and NEEDS A BATH as he tend to love rolling in the horse pop lol

  It is so nice to meet you all as well

My fluffy one is turning into a little Nanook - twice her usual size just from the fur. Maybe she wants to come up to AK and visit you?

  Ok Lyn I don't want too hear it lol But I had to try out the new ER yeserday I some how put my lower back out again just from trying to get some money out of my pants to buy some smokes in the truck, I lifted up to reach in and that was it

  I got home and I could hardly get out off my truck from the pain so of I went to the ER again to get help for it AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!! I got a nice shot in the arm (OUCH) and some perk's for the pain but when they took my BP and temp all I could do was stand up as I didn't wish to try and sit down from the pain so need less to say I'm a little bit sore today

   I swear you and Kitt jinks me all to time, are you and Kitt doing a voo-doo thing on me??????????????

  Cowboy is trying to get back up and ride again lol

I swear there is NOT a month actually not a week that goes by that you dont hurt self whats up with that Cowboy??  devil ...WHO puts there lower back out getting money outta pocket??? lol..I know ..Cowboy.....What ya didnt want to hand over the moolah nono  OMG I crack me up EH..........We are not a jinxing ya ya dont need anyone to do that ......you do a good nuff job yourself my friend

I am hoping you do NOT lose a limb or something this year.......Just git on the carpet ride and you have plenty of Nurse to look after ya okay and keep ya safe ( we hope) .......My fibro has been literally pulling me down this past few days with all the cold air and rain/sleet...........SNOW is a coming
