Dear Sweet Nanners,
I have been trying to come up with the right words to say to you but at moments like this I feel any words are the right words in letting you know how sorry I am at the death of your Mother. I do believe you have made the right decision so never regret letting go of your Mom here on this earth.
Let the tears fall my dear friend and keep that special place in your heart to hold all the wonderful memories you have of your Mom. Allow yourself to grieve in your own way.
I know the service will be beautiful...........honor her life and celebrate how great she was. My prayers and sympathy to you and all of your family. I am posting my favorite verse for you and I think this is the first time I have shared this..................
I cannot say, and I will not say
That she is dead, she is just away!
With a Cheery Smile and a wave of the hand
She has wandered into an unknown land.
And left us dreaming how very fair
It needs must be since she lingers there,
And you - oh you, who the wildest yearn
For the old-time step and the glad return.
Think of her fairing on, as dear
In the love of there, as the love of here,
Think of her still as the same, I say.
she is not dead - she is just away.
- James Whiteomb Riley
This verse touched my heart so much that I had "He is just away" etched on my son's gravestone.
My sincere love to you,
Kitt
