Today's question is so simple- and i dont just want an answer, i want you to explain your answer! (the english teacher in me just kicked in- didnt mean to sound bossy!)

"What is your favourite season and why?"

 

No doubt you will know that mine is NOT summer! rolleyes No- i live for winter. i love it. the part of australia that i live in, our little neck of the woods has 2 very different parts- we get the hottest temps in summer, we get the lowest temps in winter.

so why do i love winter?

  1. i get to wear scarves, which i collect
  2. reading in bed, wrapped in my feather quilt, listening to rain on the roof
  3. comfy flannel pj's
  4. hot decaff chai lattes
  5. the sting of a cold breeze on my face
  6. ugg boots and open fire places
  7. hot, homemade soup (my mums) or fish and chips on a cold friday night
  8. my electric blanket and woolly socks

i could go on and on... but i wont!

I'm baaack! So nice to see all my friends at HW.

Now, favourite season? I love autumn because,

1. We get lot's of thunderstorms.

2. The leaves turn beautiful colours and the air smells fresher

3. We still have warm days but cool nights so I can snuggle into bed with a hot chocolate and a good book!

Hey,

I love the spring because it is a time of rebirth and renewal. I am a bit of a "treehugger" and love to see all my friends burst out into new leaves. . . The animals run around and play. . . Birds everywhere. . . Flowers popping up. . . Turning over the ground with a plow and smelling the comforting earth smell. . . I am patiently waiting for my time of the year.

I absolutely love summer! Going to the beach, going for walks, lighter evenings, better fashion! Lucky it's summer in my neck of the woods!!

I have to go with Green Grove on this one.  I love Springtime the best.  Sam described it so eloquently that I couldn't do it justice to try to explain my reasons for loving it.  Sam, are you a poet or writer?  Loved your description.  Tulips are my favorite followed closely by daffodils.

Autumn with the changing of the colors, the smells of buring leaves in the air and the frost upon the pumpkins is my favorite time of year.

I love the summer because I can dress up all cute like and show a bit of leg...even though it not the nicest of legs and is fake tanned! I'm no good in the sun...Hate the thought of premature ageing...haha! But I love Winter because I too live in Australia and I love the very short snuggly winters...When it is hot here, Its really hot! Winter all the way for me!! gillxx

I love fall/autumn. The weather is perfect. The trees are a beautiful color and they begin to lose their leaves. Nice. Summer here can get up to 111 degrees. Too hot for me!

I am an autumn-lover as well.... For one thing, I just like the word autumn... Nice word. Also, the weather is much more tolerable...

Summer- Too hot. Winter- Too cold...

And as for spring? As much as I like the pretty flowers and everything... Spring REALLY causes my allergies to act up. Don't have that problem so much in the fall...

I also like the changing colors of the leaves...

Lol, thanks for the compliment Diane :) I am an amateur at writing and poetry and I've notices we have so many creative people on here that have anxiety. . . Maybe it goes with it? IDK, lol :)

I'm wondering if we both like spring the best because we live in Missouri? The autumn is always drab the past few years and I have to say spring is by far the most beautiful in these parts :) I also love the tulips and daffodils! I have some amaryllis and narcissi started on our sun porch right now. . . Soon it will be time to get the garden seeds going :) I can't wait. . . I'm so excited :)
