We are often hard on ourselves. Its a part of AP, that we beat ourselves up and expect too much sometimes. So i am challenging you today to write something positive about YOU as a person. It may be hard, but you can do it. We all are special in our own ways. Here i go:

I worked today in a tough job in a horrid heatwave and i didnt give in when i woke up and call in sick- i went and did my job even though im sick and even though i felt nasty at work, at least i made myself go. so today, i was responsible. im not always ultra responsible, so its nice to write that about myself.

Now how about you? You can do it!

I have been taking care of business even thought I've been experiencing many emotions and pain lately :) No matter what I go through, I still have to be responsible for my nursing duties to my grandmother, take care of the farm and stepping up our business to keep up with the economy. . . I'm accomplishing many of my small goals that I've set and that makes me very happy and proud :)

Thought provoking question L.A.S. :) Hope the heat wave goes away my friend. . . Have been hearing a lot of bad stuff concerning it lately and you are in my thoughts.

Thanks Sam- over 35 people have died from heat exhaustion. on top of the heatwave, upper northern australia is being battered by 2 different cyclones and alot of flooding (up Gilly's way). kids are fainting in my classes, some are vomiting, none are happy. and as someone who suffers from seasonal mood disorder with summer being my trigger, im feeling anxious, edgy, nerves fried etc.

it could be worse- i should be counting my blessings instead of complaining and fretting.

Good Morning,

Today I am doing my first all day solo at work and I woke up and started to have that anxiety feeling.....like why am I doing this and can I do this?  Maybe I should just give up on trying to  continue on but I sat on the side of my bed and did some deep breathing and  said a little prayer...............

So I am up and I will go to work, after all what is the worse thing that can happen............I may make some mistakes but I will work on staying in the moment and remember this is My first day on my own other then the 1 hour stint last week.

I will survive.

Hey Maz, I've heard about the Australian heat wave on the news here in the U.S. Very frightening. Extreme heat or extreme cold is so dangerous. I hope you are taking good care of yourself.

I have been keeping up well at work in spite of tough economic times and trying always to learn and improve. It's not easy right now with so much uncertainty about what is going on, which can really fuel the anxiety, but I am taking it a day at a time.

Maz. . . All the stuff happening in Australia right now sounds frightening and I wish you and others on here safety for yourselves and families!  I also hope that the government will do some sort of mandate about air conditioning as well. . . I agree with Betsy that it is dangerous and I feel for your students and you in that hot schoolhouse.

Kitt. . . Your first day alone eh?  I know you will pull it off beautifully and come out like a champ :)  It's natural to feel anxious, I know I would my friend . . . Hope you have a great day!

I wonder why they don't keep the kids home from school in Australia on these horribly hot days? We have snow days here in the states. You guys should have heatwave days. Seriously. Kids should not be fainting and vomiting. Is there air conditioning in the classrooms?

A positive thing about myself is that I'm always there for my friends and family. If they need me, I am right there. So, I'd say I'm caring and loyal.

Today, I did my speech for my Public Speaking class, and it looked like it went over well with everyone. :D... I like it when I can get laughs out of people...

*The speech, by the way, was a roast... on Batman. It was AWESOME! WOOO! (Yeah, I know, I'm a nerd. :))

Hang in there Maz...I know we cant control the horrible weather we are having here in Aus but I like to think we have a little control on how we react or respond to it...Maybe just a little! I know I am getting BAD Cabin Fever here right now....I cant even leave the house. I am finding it really hard and it is forcing me to deal with my fear of being controlled and held back...confined!  Please make sure you are drinking plenty of water, and hang in there, the heat cant last forever!!!  luv gillxx
