....Afternoon Family

'Was out n about this am paying bills and it was so gorgeous out there

Flowers are starting to bloom and the sun was

just a shining......

This is my favorite time of year

A time for NEW beginnings and a time to reflect on what we

want to do in our lives

 

I will be outside as much as possible lol usuallly am

BUT not during high sun times nono  UV rays .......

 

This is my first year with Fibro so I am hoping I can still do what I love to do ...garden

walk thru the parks and just be in relaxed mode...........

 

I also love to hear the birds a chirping and they are for sure....... turn .....

 

WHAT is it that you love about Spring and what do you usually do ????

Spring.............Awww my favorite time of year. I love everything becoming new again. I think I would like to try to get some pots and plant a few veggies or flowers this year. I think gardening would be very theraputic (sp?) for me.

Lyn just fyi, I too have Fibro. One thing that does help it is exercise. Although it should be light/gentle exercise. So if you can try to walk a little bit everyday, or maybe even light swimming, you might find it helps to keep those achy joints well oiled. Just a thought!!

Try not to overdo it on the swimming. I think that's what I did one time, and it ended up hurting me (I might as well have taken a sledgehammer to my joints) than helping me...

Anyway... I think it's funny... It's still cold... Last week, there was talk of the possibility of snow... I'm still wearing my coat... So... It does not feel very "springy" to me... Hey... Green! You live in Missouri... Is it the same in your neck of the woods?

I like spring okay enough... I enjoy looking at pretty flowers and seeing all the green (I'll confirm the part about gardening being therapeutic, Nanners. It's a lot of work, though, and it can really sap your energy. Especially if you have a yard like my grandmother's)... The sun shining... The birds chirping... All that stuff. The problem is I have allergies pretty bad during the springtime... All that pollen and whatnot, I guess. So, it's not my favorite season. //^_^\\'...

Spring Break (again, I find myself LOLing) is coming up soon... No plans really. I'm never very good at making plans. If it warms up, I'll probably take some small walks... try and keep those joints "well-oiled" like Nanners said. Otherwise, I'll do what I usually do.... Read.... write... play games. :)

You all will hate me, I am in San Diego and its beautiful and in the high 60's here. The are talking about a little rain this weekend, and I am sure that its coming because my "barometer" joints are telling me so:)

I"m in Missouri too Celey!  It's 60 today and will be 70 tomorrow and it feeeeels goooood.  All the snow from last weekend is finally melting away.  My fave thing about spring is being able to ride around in the car with the windows down and reading a book outside in the sun.  It's also nice to go to the lake and have picnics.

Another Missourian. . . Boy we sure are an anxious state, lol :) I am very ready for spring. . . The irises and other flowers are poking up. . . The magnolias are budding right now. . . And all of my tree friends are budding out. . .

I am just so happy and ready for gardening, more farm animals, writing out on the patio. . . Ahhhh :)

Lol. . . This question makes me thoughtful and very satisfied like a good meal :)

My daughter & I planted bulbs for the first time this year! We had no clue what we were doing - we literally followed the instructions on the bulb bag :) So we look out the window every day for a sprout to pop up. We were overzealous and planted 150 bulbs, so I'm praying that at least 1 makes it up! She's 5 years old and this was her first big time gardening experience (and mine, I have a black thumb).

Looking forward to warmer weather, playing outside, soccer games, smocked easter outfits for the bitties, spring break to visit my family...

I am lol  as you all talk about spring and the  flowers etc.........welcome to my world and why do we have cold and snow and Canada is getting spring like weather??? Sister, Sister tell me the truth............??????   smhair

Actually today it may get above freezing..............whoooo hooo.  The snow is melting slowly and the thing I love about spring is  Easter.  It is the time of new beginnings and trying to remember where I hid my Easter Eggs.  I always loved getting a new outfit for Easter Sunday Church with new  shoes, an Easter bonnet and the works.

Now I take joy in seeing my grandchildren all dressed up in their Easter outfits....... :-)   :-)

This is the year I am going to try a garden............Karen has promised to give me helpful hints.  I am going to by a magic marker and color my thumb green.

Well up in New England we're still deep in the snow and cold... it was 1F this morning and we're supposed to get more snow tonight. Urgh! But when it does finally start showing signs of spring...
I will hopefully have lost some weight so I don't feel bad busting out my saddle and brain bucket and takin my very energetic pony out for a nice long ride, hopefully beach riding soon if it would just get above 40. Then I can validly excuse myself from the gym because I'll at least be excercising with my horse.
I've already got most of the seeds for my garden so I'm eager to get going on that, its going to be a good one this year and hopefully my potatoes and peppers won't drown this year.
I'm also hoping to do some camping this year and maybe drag my husband up north to go whitewater rafting.

Spring....??

 Well, not so much here in Wisconsin yet. I can only dream of 40's outside...They are hoping for tomarrow...

Plans of a new flower bed, sending our son off to his first yr of college, loosing some weight, just being outside with all of the bugs.. Enjoying the time of the season.. I can't wait to hear the birds!

Most of all flying (and surviving) to a dream cruise vaccation in 15 days!!

I'm so excited that spring has arrived, at least here in the south!!!!

Somehow spring always brings me an uplifting feeling, to be outside in the warm air, to see the sun, and just to know that the dark and dreary days of winter are gone!

My boyfriend and I are moving in the next few weeks to a new place, we plan to get a new puppy AND I am finally going to see a pdoc about my anxiety symptoms instead of trying to battle this on my own....

this year for spring my plans are to just enjoy being outside as much as possible! mom lives on the river and i have a jetski so that's always fun, and we like to go fishing and have cookouts, as well!!!! I CANT WAIT! i'm getting excited just thinking about it smilewinkgrin turn yeah

Fellow Missourian's - Celey, Melbe, Sam.  Wow, we are an anxious State.

My favorite thing about Spring is coming home and taking off the shoes and socks and going barefoot.  Last year had foot surgery so was NEVER able to go barefoot at all.  Hoping this year is different.  I came home (it's 67 degrees here in St. Louis) and took off shoes and sock and am loving it.  The flowers are starting their little green sprouts coming through the dirt.  I love it.

Lol, that just cracked me up Mel :) I am about an hour from the Iowa & Illinois borders if I punch it, but Missouri is a wonderful and very beautiful state when we don't get stuck in a major rut from the very old fashioned ways and people's "set" attitudes here. . . It is an amazing coincidence that there are four of us and maybe more that are from here, along with great members the world over. Maybe the whole "Show-Me-State" motto is true. . . We are shown too much info that has brought us to the edge :) Might have to start a Missourian Campaign For Less Stress or something. . .

Hey Diane, I ran outside yesterday to have a smoke and it was so nice. . . I kicked off my shoes and the coolness was not bad, but all the danged gravel hurt, ouch :) I have become a real "tenderfoot" being ill during the fall from the high anxiety & then the long winter. . . That is okay, cause as I was limping along after that it was so much fun, lol. Everything is budding out, Yeah!

71 yesterday and 63 today, hooray!!! Time to plow the garden, till then plant. . . Plus I'm planting a small field with the beginnings of our nursery trees, bushes & flowers (my retirement plan:). . . Then planting more trees for our GGB Willow Biomass Community Project. Boy, it is no wonder I'm anxious at times, lol.

It finally got warm here! YAY! I'm not getting my hopes up too much, though... I will honestly not be surprised if sometime next week, we get a forecast for snow. Darn you, Missouri! *One time, it snowed over here when it was April... APRIL! Sheesh!*

Well, like Missouri, it's cold here in Illinois, but because of that I like to go for walks on the beach. Nice & quiet watching the first waves become unfrozen and roll slowly towards the shore. Not too many people crazy enough to go to the beach in their parkas, so it really is relaxing. :)

As far as goals, I'm trying to find a job. Want to get on top of my finances. Plan to get more involved with friends & social activities. Am working towards doing a better job at keeping on top of my housework. We'll see how it all goes. The beach is my reward so I definitely have something positive to look forward to & to help motivate me when all I really want to do is hide under the covers all morning. :P

Hope you're all enjoying Spring. Shout out to all my favorite anxious neighbors in the great state of Missouri. (holler)

My husband asked me the the other day if I would like to try
line dancing. They give lessons, so we are going to give it a try.
This should be good for both of us.

We live in Illinois and turned our clocks ahead one hour tonight to make the switch to daylight savings time. I like it better when we
get to turn them back in the fall.

What continent do your people live on, buds on branches, temps in 70's, come on who is pulling my leg?  It was -3 degrees here this morning, gusty wind and had snowed over night after a light drizzle all day yesterday.

Dear Sis, I am missing your calls and need a pick me up............I know I was at work Monday and Tuesday but hoping to hear from you today. sad

I am only one state away Bro as we are not far from the top of Iowa and you live in the top of Missouri...........I may get my buggy out yet and hitch up the horses to see this farm.
