That's a good question, Kitt.

I've found in my own life that when I've strived for things that fit the 'standard' formula for happiness (i.e. marriage, lucrative career, busy social calendar), I've been disappointed once I arrived there. I finally realized that I was working towards certain models of these things that were externally-based, rather than looking inside myself and seeing what was really right for me. I spent too much time in my younger years trying to fit the mold, instead of trying to understand my own needs, desires, and sources of personal fulfillment. Maybe that's one of the advantages of aging.....we come to know ourselves better, and to feel secure in doing what is best for us.
