So I haven't been on here for a while...ive been doing really good taking my meds and everything has been fine until today...my second to last day of finals. I've gone through like four packs of cigarettes my chest has never hurt so bad of course its on and off my whole left cheek will be numb on and off too. Of course like always I feel like I'm dying. I'm just asking for a little encouragement and maybe some advice on how you guys dealt with this during finals. Its so bad I can't study and I have a HUGE chem exam tomorrow!!!

That is alot of smoking as you already know.........

I would do some studying and then leeave it for a bit relax and come back to it

Well sweetie pie if I smoked that many cigs, my chest would be hurting too:) I used to smoke and when I smoked to much, I got the same sensations. I agree with Lyn, trying studying in stages, that way you don't get burnt out. Good luck with your exams.

Thanks guys! And I should clarify I meant Ive gone through four packs this week. Not today lol. Id be dead if i smoked four packs in one day!

Hi LadyBug,

I wish you the very best on your exams. I hear you on the cigs....I have struggled for almost 30 years with that addiction, and have quit many times. I falter during times of great stress, which sounds like what you are doing. Try doing lots of breathing relaxation exercises, and when you take a break from studying, do something physical to get those good endorphins going in your body and to relieve some of that stress. Hi Tara,

Wow, it has been a long time since I took finals but I have a tendency to over study and then I stay in the moment knowing I have done my best and the knowledge is there, just let it come out.

I never listen to what others are saying around me when it is time to test and I never panic and look in my books one more time. smhair I know that I will pass so I go into testing with confidence.

You will do well, just believe.

Great advice from everyone here Tara. I am sure that you will do great on your exam as most of us "over-achievers" do :) You take care of yourself and try to cut back on the smokes so you don't make yourself sick my friend.

Thanks everyone! I'm back home finals are done...not sure how I did but i guess I will soon find out! Thanks so much for all the advice I did try to slow down my smoking a little and i took some breaks and went outside for a while. here's hoping i did well!!
