Hi I'm a 30 yr old female who had knee surgery jun 3 ...Absolutely simple...Feel 100% better the next day but,
I noticed the next day other problems, Couldn't stop moving very high anxiety,
Plus I was taking deep breaths and sighing allot because airway felt strange. I talked to the anesthesiologist and he
told me that
it's a normal response. OK so Next day still felt throat weirdness but the adrenaline
rush feeling disappeared. (years ago I had a anaphylactic response to medicine
and my throat closed) So because of this throat feeling I'm having, I put myself into a panic state. I thought it was all
just because of a panic attack but, I realized that after 5 days post surgery the feeling in my throat is still there.
It feels like walking into a Steam room. I don't understand what's wrong! I go see the orthopedic Today for my Post-Op appt.
I will ask him but I need to know what's going on and how long this takes to go away..I know I was intubated because upon
awaking from surgery i felt something coming out of my mouth, . any info/Experiences is appreciated Thanks in advance!
Update: Went to see the ortho dr and he told me i wasn't intubated they use a different device that is like a balloon in the mouth.
So I'm stumped as to what is going on...I went next door to find out all the medications I was given and their was about 10 of them.
