Getting fed up with 4 a day + HEAT

Ahh yes heat does play into my anxiety big time.

Your 35c is not very hot to me. Thats only about 95F here. Which is an average day. Now 43c is coughin up to about 109.5f which is hot. But we have gotten as high as 115 here. In our pike times of the summer.
Here is the big BUT!.. Its dry heat. We don't have much humidity. Which makes our heat standable. Unlike those who have humidity I feel for them. I sure can not handle it when we have it here. Swamp coolers do little. Its usually cooler outside in the shade then it is in the house with all fans and a/c going. YUCK. I hate it..lol. And we just got done with a week of 37% humidity and I thought I was going to go crazy. Everything felt wet. Carpet, cardboard boxes, even my chips went yucky because of it.

I'll take my dry heat over humidity any day. We just had 3 days of triple digit heat. And it was much more enjoyable then having the humidity.

Enjoy your shocker shower. LOL I do them also. And hubby loves hot showers. Says he feels a lot cooler stepping out then when he went in. I would rather cool off first!!

Heat is a problem for me. I always need it cold to be comfortable.

I love the sun but cannot be in direct sunlight due to skin cancers removed last year.  I do not like to sweat and trying to take a deep breath in the heat is anxiety provoking for me.

Hi everyone. Thanks for all getting back to me. So I am not alone, the heat does play a big part. Today I was out driving the JCB in 40 degrees and wow did I feel rough but I needed to repair our track as we live in the country where the heat is dry and not humid as Allestaria say's the humid heat in the worse. I see a lot of you Guy n Gals use the cold water method as well it does seem to work well. My Attacks have been very bad for the last 2 months or so, which is when the heat started!. I have been reading up on this a bit and it seems that also our bodies react greatly in the heat no only becuase it's hot but as the air is hot and does not help with our breathing, I have also found out that if you can find some way of making "vapour" as in a very very fine spray in the garden this will help cool the air down and in turn help us to stop an attack. If this is true or not I don't know but have read about it. I have also been looking at the linden Method but am not with him on some things he says, anyay that's another story. My attacks have been about 4 times a day, while I'm outside working or on the motorway etc and normaly 4 hours after taking my 5mg's of CLORAZEPATO that's the Spanish name for it, what ever it is in europe or the USA I haven't found out yet. The doc took my dosage up a year ago from 5mg's every 6 hours to 10mg's every 6 hours as the lower dosage was not having effect after 7 years on these, but as I don't like taking them I cut them in half and am still on 5mg's!!. BUT the attacks are closer together. Amazing the other day I had a very heavy day translating all day from Spanish to English between 3 Spaniards and 3 English people, my mind was so tied up the poor old anxiety was left behind "poor thing" and never stood a chance,I forgot to take a tablet all day and felt greaat. It just goes to show anxiety is all in our sub conciousness. When my parents were very ill in intensive care for 10 days I never had ONE attack not even a sign of one. Anyway will close for now. it's a lovely sunny day here and i can't face going out in it. I love spring when it's sunny but cold. There's something comforting about wrapping up warm in the cold.

Getting into a nice warm bed with the electric blanket on number 7 when it's snowing outside is one of the joys in life

If you don't like going out in the heat, try what I do. First have a very cool shower about 10 mins before you go out, wear cotton tops or shirts depending if you are male or female. use a big mexican like hat but without all the tassles and bits hanging of it!!!, In spain these are used a lot and noone looks at you, they cover a very large part of your body from the sun and helps to keep cool. If you drive take a big plastic bottle full of very cold water and keep it with you all the time and have small drinks, this also helps to keep the body tempreture down a bit, my car is like a plastic bottle factory and my wife recons I have just about every brand of water available in spain all in the back footwells hahahaha!!!. Hope you manage to get out a bit even if it's for a while early before it gets hot. Stay safe. Kevin

Just wanted to say it is horrid in the heat and some meds we may take can actually cause heat intolerance. We have to work hard to stay cool as possible and wear sunscreen.
Lets hope for some nice cool 85 degree farenheit weather!

CLORAZEPATO = Tranxene    I used that medication for many years everyday and loved it.  However when I had my melt down in 2006 I was switched to a different medication.  It may be a switch in your med would help with the anxiety.
