Ever since being diagnosed with prostate cancer (the forum where I post messages) 3 1/2 years ago, I have been having trouble with anxiety related to health issues.
When I was about to be biopsied to check for cancer of the prostate, my urologist said there was about a 10% chance I had cancer. I didn't worry about it, assuming it would be negative. Much to my shock, it was cancer and I had surgery with no recurrence of the cancer since.
Ever since that time, I have had anxiety about my health. Little symptoms make me think I have some other disease or another cancer. Anything related to my health that is slightly out of the ordinary, I worry about it.
Has anyone else struggled with this? What did you do to help you worry less or worry smarter? I have tried CBT with some success in the past.
