new to this site

hello, im not sure what im supposd to do here. i have no diagnosed diseaaes or disabilities or disorders and that makes me feel unwelcome, tho i do not have the money to see professionals about all my anxiety and confusion. i was just looking for online councelling... i was hoping for something one-to-one with a trained professional... is that available here? if not can someone direct me to a site that offers my needs?? thank you

Support groups are a place for people to give and receive both emotional and practical support as well as to exchange information. People with health conditions, as well as their friends and families find support groups to be a valuable resource and get confirmation that their feelings are "normal", educate others, or just let off steam. IMHO joining a support group is joining a family.

You have anxiety and that is a whole dx of it's own and comes with many different issues. Please do know you have chosen the right place to come and to talk about your anxiety.

thank you for your support, i am not on any meds, i didnt know i needed any, i have tried a few things but have never been prescribed anything, i do have insurance (canadian) but i dont have doctor who wants to prescribe anything and i cannot afford a therapist (they arent covered here) thanks again andi will begin a new topic to start talking about what i am going thru

A long time ago when I was looking for a therapist I did find one who offered on-line sessions. It was relatively cheap. I am not Canadian but have heard that they do cover that sort of thing, though. Try to follow Lyn's advice.

Please dont let the tears embarass you its real its your emotions and you might have to try a couple before you find the one you feel comfy with.....we have good programs here i am checking on some for you should hv answers after my doc app....i would think your AB works would cover this for you ..glad you found the forum and i hope you keep posting letting 8us know we are going to be here for you.......this is a great family of support....lyn
