what do I do now???confused

so I don't knoww what to do i tried calling my dr this morning but he never returned my call he was too busy and i need help because i had terrible headches last night and i don't know if its because of the effexor also i feel like if i have the flu any suggestions? thanks

Keep calling, and ask to maybe talk to a physician's assistant or an advice nurse if the Dr. is too busy to respond. I don't know about the effexor, but i sometimes have flu-like symptoms with my anxiety. A headache, all over feeling of malaise, stomach problems, sometimes even a slight fever. If you do end up getting the flu, you'll know it soon enough, and then all you can do is treat it w/ rest, lots of liquids, and an otc medication.
I hope that you can talk to someone in your Dr's office by the end of today, so you can have a worry-free weekend.

Hey there,  I am falling SC around today  smilewinkgrin .  Side effects of Effexor XR include but are not limited to Abnormal dreams, abnormal ejaculation, constipation, dizziness, dry mouth, headache, insomnia, nausea, nervousness, sleepiness, sweating, and weakness.  These can feel pretty rough for 7-10 days or so when starting this med and with each increase but I took my time and managed to get onto the drug.

I gave up on many of the AD's because the side effects were not nice and therefore was down to only a few choices left.  I also felt tension in my shoulders and neck about 1 1/2 hour after taking the drug in the monring which using a heating pad helped relieved.

Is there a triage nurse you can ask to speak to at your clinic ?

I didn't get to talk to him.. but i think I feel better by knowing that these can be side effects and it does not mean that I am allergic to the medication.
