ANxiety about dentist.

i have to get a filling tomorrow and that stupid lidocaine with epinephrine makes my heart race so now i'm panicking about going.
do all dentists have the epinephrine free one? has anyone ever requested?

the feeling only lasts a few minutes so i don't know why i'm freaking out.

can you take a klonopin beforehand? i've never done this but thinking about it.

ug so so sick of this dr/dentist anxiety i've had bad since my dad died.

Yes they have epi free lidocaine. That is what I use because epi causes my heart to race also, not good for someone with a mitral valve prolapse. I don't see why you can't use Klonopin before your appointment, my grandmother used to take Valium before hers. But I totally understand your anxiety about the dentist. I used to have that as well, in fact I had a dentist phobia. I had to have the nitrous oxide just to have my teeth cleaned. I've gotten way better with going but every once in a while, the ole anxiety jumps in once in a while.

Yeah, I get that feeling for a short time too but it quickly wears off and the med kicks in.
