trying to understand vision changes

Hi, has anybody experience changes in vision while not feeling anxious? I know a person can have blurry vision when feeling anxious but in my case I feel calmed and I just notice some changes in my vision like everything seems so close now...and then I also feel lightheaded any suggestions?

I don't know about the vision specifically, but the physical symptoms that I get associated with my anxiety don't always happen when I'm thinking about something anxiety provoking. Lightheadedness is one of my many symptoms.

And of course it never hurts to run new symptoms by a doctor. Even if you get told over and over that it's anxiety, the reassurance that a professional knows your symptoms and isn't worried can help us in turn to worry less.

Are you still on the Effexor.  Common side effects from Effexor are abnormal dreams; blurred vision; changes in taste; constipation; decreased sexual desire or ability; dizziness; drowsiness; dry mouth; flushing; headache; increased sweating; loss of appetite; nausea; nervousness; stomach upset; trouble sleeping; vomiting; weakness; weight loss; yawning.

If you are having any of these side effect, which you appear to be, please contact your Dr. 

Perhaps you need to have the medication adjusted or a change in meds.  I hope you soon get to the bottom of your problems.

I'm on xanax and I noticed that if I have a rough day and take up to the max amount of pills for that day, the next day i have blurred vision in one of my eyes. It is a possible side effect.

I've also read that changes in hormones can cause changes in vision as well.
