Hi Ron and welcome! I'm am glad to hear first of all that you have had this evaluated by your doctor. If he has ruled out anything serious, and they are benign palps, all I can say is welcome to the club! No, seriously, I know that these are no fun. Many members here have this problem. If you look into the archives here, and in cardio, and gerd forums you will find a ton of posts for this topic. Now, as far as increased palps with digestion, or a b.m. I can only give you my opinion, I am not a health care worker, I have just done a lot of reading/research on my own. Look up the vagus nerve in regards to digestion and elimination. This nerve runs the length of the G I tract, and can get stimulated by a full somach, gas, ect... causing palps/irregular heartbeats. I would work on keeping a food diary and recording what foods and amounts/combinations affect you the most. Also avoid large meals and try several smaller meals instead.
Good luck with this, like I said, check out some of the archives, and stick around-this is a great place for support, information and sharing!
Take care,
Scaredy Cat
