nelle,
Good Morning and congratulations on your news. I am so pleased for you and I suspect you are going to be fine throughout your pregnancy. I am not allowed to give medical advice per se' on the fourms in my capacity as a nurse but I can share what I have read re PVCs and my own personal experices with pregnancy.
Pregnancy brings about some hemodynamic changes in the body which may further predispose one to PVCs. I do not think that the PVCs you are experiencing are particularly harmful in the setting of your normal heart. Discuss with your doctor, his/her certainty that PVCs are the cause of your palpitations and consider a holter monitor test. I would also recommend avoiding alcohol, tobacco, caffeine and stimulants such as those found in decongestions if you have not already done so. Lastly, consider drinking more water. Hope this helps.
I do understand your fear of adding to your family and wondering if you can deal with it. I had 4 children and I always doubted my ablility to handle another child.
I've found the transition between 2 and 3 much easier than from 1 to 2. I had more experience in juggling and I was not near as nervous worrying about my third child. I slept when the baby did and knew I would hear him wake up. Getting through the first 3 months is a challenge but one that will bring you joy when you look into that tiny little face looking up at you with so much trust.
You'll cope, my dear Nelle; you will think at times that you can't, but you will.
Any time you need to talk or need someone we will always be right here for you.
I admire you so much for voicing your fears as talking about them goes a long way to overcoming the fears.
Please know you are special, wise and wonderful.
Gentle Hugs,
Kitt
