So I get these little chest pains from time to time, their sudden and only last a little bit and sometimes i think it's the chest but it's more or less on the left lat, they never hurt but because their on the chest I do get concerned, usually though belching is always around the same time I get these little pains

ok so basically, should I get checked out? or can chest pain sometimes truly be nothing to worry about?

Is this pain on the Latimus (back) muscle, or pectoral (chest) muscle? If you have recently had a check-up (and all was clear), then I wouldn't be concerned, especially if burping relieves it. Trapped gas can cause quite a bit of pain in the upper abdominal/chest area. If however, you haven't been seen by your dr. in a while, any kind of chest area pain would be a reason to make an appointment.

If this is more in your back, it could be tension or misalingment. If you are really bothered by it, it may be worth a trip to the dr.

Honestly I just can't tell...I immediately think chest when I get it but if I analyze it's more prominent on the left lat, sometimes it's on the chest though I suppose and belching does accompany it, also I do feel a little indigestion in my throat so it could be GERD

I did a HIIT exercise today that was about 10 minutes but intense enough to leave me very breathless and my heart felt fine but I did feel a little bit of tenderness on the left pec towards the middle

As far as checking up goes, I've had a million blood tests done on me and it all comes good I didn't have any EKGs or stress tests or whatever though and I know it'd comfort my mind to have some done, but I just don't want to keep running to the ER every time I get a pain and spend a whole lot of money just to ease this anxiety of mine

Also more info as to why I'm not really that worried is because I never get shortness of breath, no left arm pain, no swollen feet or any of those early heart attack symptoms or something, the only thing I get with it is belching haha but still:(

Good Morning,

Belching with the chest discomfort makes me think of GERD ?  You may want to check out the GERD forum here or talk with your Dr. re GERD.

Remember I am not a Dr. however I think SC gave you great input.

I get chest pain and belching usually around the same time too.
My doctor seems to think it's GERD.
However with any chest pain I would suggest getting your doctor's opinion.

i do get chest pain like you describe, went to the ER once for it. I think its my asthma which causes it and/or GERD. Mine feeling like pulsing, almost like a heartbeat, which is why i ended up in the ER for it, but the EKG and everything was normal. I do notice that it Happens more often when my asthma is acting up also my anxiety tends to manifest itself in this too, pain/numbess. Its worth getting checked out by a doc just to be safe though

Chest pain went away though, it was only a couple days and GERD is really making sense because I can feel that indigestion in my throat at times, but the chest pain is gone thankfully

I have Acid Reflux, IBS, Ulcerative Colitis, anxiety associated to chest pain AND had gallbladder disease so I feel like at this point I am queen of chest pain.

I wish I knew more of when you had the pain. What you ate, what you were always doing. Acid reflux is not just pain... it can incorporate the esophageal pain, the trouble swallowing, the lump in the throat, you can feel the heat radiate through your chest.... IBS incurs abdominal plain as well and a lot of people experience mucus excretion during a bowel movement... because you belch a lot, I'd have your gallbladder checked. I know the normal symptoms are right quadrant lower rib pain and under shoulder pain but mine was sternum pain, mid back pain. A gallbladder attack actually ran the course of my spine like someone was kicking me. But I burped... A LOT. This was also the cause of my "intense stop breathing for 3 seconds pain" after eating something hot like chili.
