Hi All

Tomorrow I have a big meeting with my work. To cut it short, Tomorrow I will find out if I still have a job or not. Really don't know which way it will go and my anxiety is high.

I am wishing you a huge truck load of good luck with your boss.  Remember to stay in the moment and you have a right ot be afraid. I have been afraid way to many times in my life and also disappointed so keep on putting one step in front of the other.

One important key to success is self-confidence. An important key to self-confidence is preparation.

Hi Ben, it has been a long road up to this point! No wonder your anxiety is peaking, that is totally understandable. I hope that you can utilize all of your tools to get you through this next day.

Kitt is right regarding being prepared. If you can, mentally visualize the meeting and the questions that could come up. Rehearse your responses and reactions. Build up your 'arsenal' of answers, points and facts.

This is something that you didn't choose, but you are dealing with it anyway and doing really well. I think that you are brave and showing strength in the face of adversity-bravo to you:)

Hi

Meeting did not go well. My employer would not budge on their decision so we had to end the meeting looks like this will have to go all the way to a tribunal. In the process of putting in a complaint which will be sent tonight. Very upset about the whole situation. Thanks guys for your support you have been awesome and I love you all.

Okay, these people are starting to pi** me off! This is not right of me to say, but I hope that someday their rights are infringed upon because of an issue that's beyong their control!

Okay, vent over I guess. If I am feeling so upset, I can only imagine what you must be feeling though. I must say that I get the most angry when I, or in this case a friend, is facing injustice. Life is tough enough without people playing unfair!;(

I don't know what I can say that will make you feel any better. Just keep up the fight as long as you can (and want to). Like I told you before, I think that they sort of count on the little guy just rolling over. If you are able, and if it isn't negatively affecting you, keep hitting back until you win, or have some kind of conclusion.

We are here in your corner, and we love you too! Keep posting about your progress, feelings, anything...

Ben,

I am with SC on this and I feel the same way, these people are Pi$$ing Me off.  On with the boxing gloves. 

I really hate it when you get to a meeting and you can tell the decision has been made and your presence is just for the show.  Tell them all to buy a show tickets. 

If it was me, "being upset"  would not cover how I felt .  I was a working manager in an ICU and then ER and would go to the ground to make sure my staff was treated fairly.  Now I see HR playing with peoples lives.  There are still many great HR Departments but I have seen nurses fired on the spot without having a chance to defend themselves.

I am in your corner too and remember to not give up, it ain't over til the fat lady sings.

Thanks for your support it really does mean a lot to have support from friends who can relate to what I am going through and what we can find ourselves up against. I will keep fighting this one as I now have nothing to lose but every thing is a bit of blur at the moment I have already forgot what was said in the meeting, maybe thats me just getting old lol
