Anxiety can do lots of things! lol
When you are anxious you feel stress and stress can definitely cause headaches/migraines/tension, etc.
I used to suffer terribly from migraines and tension headaches, most likely from anxiety. When I'm anxious (which is almost always), I clench and grind my teeth which is part of the problem.
Besides Ibuprofen, daily relaxation exercises help a lot to diminish tension and in turn the frequency and duration headaches. You could try Progressive Muscle Relaxation, yoga, meditation, cardio, etc.
