Hi guys! SMZ, I hope ur doing better. And I surely do cont 2 fight w/all of this stuff. But sometimes I wonder...Ive heard some say u shld separate ur illnesses frm urself & fight them off. Others say u shld essentially love ur illnesses as part of urself, try 2 hear what its saying as a mind body spirit connection. Anger @ it feels like it gives me @ least some sense of power, control or action. But while I know 2 be gentle, kind & loving w/myself, I wonder given what stress does 2 me bcuz of how my illnesses work, if anger is serioisly counterproductive?

Hi Blue. I hope that you are feeling as good as you possibly can right now. I know that things are very difficult, so I won't say I hope you're feeling great...because that might just be annoying, but I do hope that you are having the best day possible under the circimstances:)

You brought up some good and interteresting questions in your post. I guess I would say it would depened on your mood and 'fight level' of the moment.

If you are feeling strong, it might be beneficial to get out some of the negative and angry feelings that can build with a chronic illness!

If you are having a time of weakness though, you are right that it could just be draining and counter-productive to do anything other than embrace peace and feel the acceptance that goes with a chronic illness.

You know this would be an interesting new thread topic, I'm going to move these into one...hope that's okay...maybe some others would like to chime in on this, and they'll be able to find it easier that way. (this post is getting long)

a death in the family the other night -my mums brother, my uncle. heart attack, 61. has given me some anxiety and diarroeah. sad for mum. he is in new zealand we are here in australia. healings, jamie

Jaimee, my heartfelt condolences go out to your family. I am very sorry to hear about your uncle. This sounds especially hard because he was relatively young, and it was unexpected.

I am sorry that you are grieving and also experiencing added anxiety. Of course a death in the family is going to affect anybody this way, but a person with A/P, even more so:(

Supporting each other as a family right now will surely help all of you get through this. Lots of love, hugs, kind words, and remembering good times with your uncle will healing and comforting.

jaimee-Sorry 4 ur loss & sadness. Ive had a huge # of deaths close 2 me starting very young. A significant issue 4 me 2. Seems like sudden ones r harder cuz w/anxiety ur always waiting 4 the other shoe 2 drop anyway. Best advice I got was actually none other than validation yes its painful, hard & others go thru it 2. Did have a grief counselor tell me s-thing that helped w/pan attacks when mom died. Said I was exp 4 kinds of death. 1. Loss/grief of my mom. 2. Loss/grief of all b4 that it triggered. 3. Loss/grief of myself cuz who was I w/o her. 4. Loss/grief of God as it shook my belief system & anger/disappointmt @ Him. Given all that realized OF COURSE I was a mess & anyone wld be abnormal not 2 b. That I had my own permission 2 grieve any way I felt when I felt & b gentle /self. I know it all hurts & is like falling free form frm a plane. HUGGZ 2 U.

May your uncle RIP. You know my history with losing loved ones and how anxious and sad it makes you feel so I am sending healing prayers to you and to your Mum.
