Nana,
Somatization disorder is a psychiatric condition marked by multiple medically unexplained physical, or somatic, symptoms. (Physical = Somatic).
Anxiety is a psychological and physiological state characterized by somatic (physical), emotional, cognitive, and behavioral components.
Physical effects (Somatic sx) of anxiety may include heart palpitations, muscle weakness and tension, fatigue, nausea, chest pain, shortness of breath, stomach aches, or headaches. The physical sx are real, however often nothing is found to explain the sx except the Anxiety.
I hope this answers your questions.
Kindly,
Kitt
