so my doc prescribed it and the very 1st time i took it, it made my mind just blank and feel withdrawn. it also made my libido a bit worse because it made my mind blank. has it done this to anyone else? im hoping if i continue taking it, that these side effects will go away. i'd just like to hear if anyone else has had an experience with these side effects going away with continued use.

Welcome to HealingWell.  Buspar is one med people either love or seem to hate.  I take it and I did not experience any side effects starting on the medication or increasing this med.

Others have had many of the same concerns you have posted "it took away my imagination", "felt a little foggy for the first few days" and "mild dizziness".  However many of the people who use this medication stated their symptoms went away after a few days to a week and they liked the medication. 

I would give it a fair chance as like most medications it takes a bit of time for the dose to reach a therapuetic level in your blood.

thanks for the reply. i'm glad i found this site, it's nice to have a place to go online and communicate with others about meds, rather than just listening to your doctor. and yes, it definitely took away my imagination and its been a few weeks since i took it and that side effect still has not gone away. med side effects seem to stick with me most of the time even after stopping a med. now i'm just trying to figure out how to make the bad effect of it go away, and seems i may just need to keep taking it to make myself tolerant to these side effects by continuing the buspirone.
