test fine, feel lousy

I am having a crappy day.  hormones must be havic again after feeling good for a week.

came to sis house and she knows how I am feeling, she has been experiencing all that i am for 10 years.  we are twins and now I am following her.  welcome to old age.

Welcome to healingwell! I am very sorry your are having a crappy day. I tried therapy and anti-anxiety meds before learning my depression and anxiety could be due to changing hormone levels. Nothing helped until I had an endocrinologist and gynocologist match a hormone supplement to my missing estrogen levels. What I take is a much lower dose than a birth control pill. I have been taking the supplement for 7 years.
If you do not want to go that route, I also found that learning cognitive behavioral coping skills and an as needed anti-anxiety rx helped a lot.
I also had ulcerative colitis which kept me in pain for much of the last 12 years. I discovered chronic pain sets up an emotional environment that is easily triggered into anxiety and panic. I no longer have uc (my large intestine was removed) and the a/p is going away. I now have weeks without any anxiety.
Post-surgery pain is through the roof today. I hope both of us feel better soon.
