Hi cali and welcome! I sounds as if you have a couple of different things going on here. Problems with your eyesight, and problems being alone in a public setting.
Both of these things could be attributed to high levels of anxiety, but I would really like to suggest that you consult with your dr., just to be on the safe side.
He/she may recommend that you have an eye exam. It doesn't hurt, we should have them anyway right? Chances are that all is well, and in that case, you can start to treat the anxiety specifically.
Have you sought treatment for it before? If not, then again, talk with your dr. about therapy, and possibly medication, if this is disrupting your life and what you want and need to do.
In the meantime, check out our Anxiety Resource Guide (main page 3rd post) It is full of great links with stress reducing exercises. There is also an interesting link (anxietycentre) that has a comprehensive list of symptoms, many about vision, you might want to read that:)
Take care, and post anytime with anymore questions that you may have. Let us know how you're doing soon.
