Hi anjan and welcome! While we are really an anxiety support group, and could not begin to diagnose you as having, or not having ADD, but I will try to point you in the right direction.
My oldest daughter sounds similar to you in many ways. She is brilliant, but the downside to all that brain acitvity is an inability to stay focused on things for very long. She has mild ADD, and has found some tools and techniques for dealing with it, but it has thrown some roadblocks her way.
The only difference is that she is extremely social, and loves to interact with people.
That is where there may be some aspect of anxiety in your situation. It could be that you have some social anxiety, or it could simply be that you are too wrapped up in your work to enjoy recreational activities.
I would really suggest consulting with your doctor, and letting him know all of the things that you have described for us here. He/she will then know how to treat you, or refer you to someone who can. Therapy was very beneficial to my daughter in dealing with her ADD, and could really help you as well.
Good luck, and I hope that you find the answers that you need soon.
