I can believe I'm complaining about this.
I am sooooo fortunate for this opportunity....

But I have had the most horrendous time booking my holiday over the past week. I gave up with the travel agent and went direct and got a good booking. Then I stupidly listened to the travel agents again and cancelled that booking!!!!!! stupid stupid stupid rolleyes - and then the travel agent were unable to complete their quoted booking mad mad mad

I'm 40 years old, I should know better - "secure a new booking before cancelling the old booking" Was I furious with myself!!!!

So I had to go back to the source again - my good booking had gone - and it took three hours to get a similar deal authorised.

In that time I was the angriest little ant, I was the saddest little monkey, and I was the scarediest little cat!!! Enormous emotions.

All fine, All booked, but what an ordeal the booking has been on the last week.

But me going on holidays now turn

Sounds like a real stress but at least you have got through and got your holiday booked. Enjoy your time away and relax, Let us no how you get on. Enjoy.

Thanks guys :) I still feel anxious about the trip because I am taking my teenage son and teenagers aren't always the most relaxing travel companions. Most of the meltdown was fear that I would be stuck at home spending my birthday alone. It brought up all my deepest fears and sadnesses. It was actually quite good to take a glimpse at the goblins that live under the waterline of my psyche. Not pleasant but productive in that I could see some deeply engrained beliefs and feelings very clearly. That helps me know where to head in my healing process...

...Hey GB and SC, would you guys mind looking into why my threads keep disappearing off the bipolar forum, please? It is starting to annoy me and I'd like to understand what is happening. Thanks. Cheers, :)

Was it more than one? I know that the last one was a duplicate, and since they are not allowed, then it may have been erased for that reason. Could the others have been duplicates as well?

In the future, if you want to post the same thing in multiple threads, it can be a similar, but not a duplicate post...I don't know why, it's just a rule.

I hope that you and your son have a safe and fun trip:)

That is so nice of you to reply SC. The thread was similar but the two which are duplicates (sorry I won't do it again) are both still there. So why would the original and different post in my home forum be the one to be deleted? And when I asked why the thread wasn't responded to; it was just deleted as well! It leaves a bad taste in my mouth to tell you the truth. Obviously, we all like to be respected - and those kind of actions don't make me feel respected. Now that I've come up against the duplicate post situation, I will know from now on... but the deletion of my threads from the bipolar forum aren't duplicates. Can the mods discuss it behind the scenes please and the original post be restored? Thank you.

Has anyone else ever been on a cruise; what were your experiences?

Okay, I am looking into it...I put an inquiry on the moderator board. Normally I would just advise you to e-mail the moderator, but I checked, and there isn't one right now! (you probably already knew that)

So it could have been any mod from any forum, but why? I don't know...I'll let you know if I find out anything:)

A cruise hugh? Awesome! Let me know how it is, because my husband and I have been tossing the idea around ourselves!

I don't know why the post was deleted. And I don't think that there is a moderator in bipolar anymore. The only thing I can think of was maybe because you mentioned the word suicide. Maybe a member alerted Peter. Or another mod did it, but I don't think another mod would. Because you weren't threatening it or anything. You can always email Peter if you want to. Maybe he has an explanation. Not to say it just didn't disappear, sometimes it happens when he does a change to the forum.

I am truly excited about your upcoming cruise. That is so awesome. Do let us know how it goes. I will be looking forward to that. Take care LW.

A cruise and for your birthday - how fun !  I am jealous as that has always been my favorite thing to do but alas it has been over 6 years since I have set sail.  I wish you a joyous holiday and relax, take time to enjoy every minute of it.

Kitt, please tell me what you liked most about your cruise/s? The reason I chose a cruise was because I wanted to island hop and it was much cheaper and easier to do that via cruise ship. (Previously I was always of the mindset I wanted to spend maximum time with the locals in foreign lands experiencing their culture than on a homogeneous cruise ship). I love travelling of the beaten track - so I'll see how I go with this "mainstream" creature comfort type of travel LOL.... Prolly didn't want to do it earlier coz I might have got used to it and become spoilt :P

Again thanks for explaining what could have happened... my threads aren't disappearing anymore, so I feel a little bit more relaxed :) Nothing can feel more invalidating to a person working really hard to manage borderline personality disorder than multiple threads going missing... so thanks for your extra info Karen :D

Now to get my passport sorted. ...and currency... going to three foreign countries.... how lucky am I!!!! I am just so very lucky to be able to do this trip. I'll take you all along with me in spirit :)

I will go with you in spirit. I have never traveled. I envy you. I hope that you enjoy the trip. Do let us know all about it when you get back. I am awaiting that. To see other places has to be the best thing in the world. I haven't traveled much myself. So I can't wait to hear all about it.

When are you leavingt? Please make sure you post before you leave to let us know. I am so excited for you!!!

That will be perfect timing if you are in a cold climate like I am. I am in Michigan, and there would be nothing nicer than a cruise in the middle of the winter. I am still excited for you. Even if it is a little ways off yet.

We are going to have a cold night tonight. In the twenties. We picked all of our beans in the garden so that we wouldnt lose them. And tomatoes. I am going out to pick my herbs too. We are working on fixing our gas heater so we will have to use our electric one tonight. Hope it keeps us warm enough. I think it will. Then it is suppose to warm up in a couple of days and get back to normal autumn weather. The trees are starting to turn here and they are really pretty. My burning bush is turning purple. It is not very old so it isn't really big yet, but turns burnt orange as it gets closer to winter.

Well that is my scoop on the weather. I always talk about it. I love being outside.
