Yes it can be very isolating to be an at-home mom. I work part-time, so I feel as if I have the best of both worlds. I am there for my daughter, but I also have the outlet of my career. The only hard part is fitting in the housework...but maybe that's more of a motivational problem, Lol;)
I think that finding this place is a good way to reach out. You can post and chat when you want to, make some great connections, and get the validation and support that you need.
You may also consider looking in your area for a mom's group. Many churches and community centers sponsor them. You also might think about classes for fun, or to futher your education, or even working again part-time now that your kids are in school.
Like ValentinGirl said, it is important to do things for yourself. You are a wife and a mother, but you are also a vital, important and unique individual!
Keep posting here with us, and check out the chat rooms if you like more of an instant communication:)
We also have some good resources in our Anxiety Resource Guide (main page 3rd post down) It has some links to relaxation and breathing exercises for when you are feeling anxious and overwhelmed. There is a lot of other information in there as well that is very helpful.
Keep posting with us, and know that you are not alone, and doing an awesome job as a mom:)
