Hi Girls!
I didn't realize how long it had been since I posted as all the great old CBT/TEA form exercise threads are locked now.
Just wanted to check in and say hi and see how you and all my other old friends are doing?
I'm doing great and still countering my thoughts in the TEA forms at least four or five times a week. Hope all are well also :)

CBT is great for all you newcomers here. Give it a try!

Hi CBT girl and welcome back! I am so glad to hear that you have been doing well with your therapy and hard work;)

It is amazing what such a simple thing (in theory, not practice!) as changing negative thinking patterns into positive ones can do isn't it?

I hope that even though you are feeling better, you will continue to post here when you can, and impart some of your experience and wisdom:)

I will definitely come around and try and help people whenever I can. I really believe in CBT as you can tell by my name and it has changed my life so much for the better. It is crazy that such a simple exercise countering and reforming your thoughts can have such amazing results. I honestly did not think it would help me when I gave the TEA forms a try but they really do work if you work them:) My best advice is to give them a try for just a couple of months and see the difference they make. I literally spend less than 30-minutes a week on them now and re-read the CBT book by Sam Obitz when I am on an airplane for business travel just to keep things fresh and I feel so alive again.

On to another subject where are Lyn and Kitt? Do they still post as they were my buddies and also great helpers on here.

We have not heard from Lyn in some time:(...We all hope that she is doing well as she has had so many hurdles to get over in her life...HUGS Lyn, if you are reading this!!!

Kitt is still around:) She is moderating in GERD and Cardio/heart forums, and still active here, so you will probably hear from her soon.

I am impressed at how much you have maintained your work in CBT! I sometimes find myself regressing into the old, negative habits...I will take a lesson from you and cut it off at the pass by doing more maintenance, and less damage control!!!

Way to go CBTG, and keep posting!

I miss Lynn and also hope she is doing well. Hopefully she'll come back and update us soon turn

Thanks for the flattery (never enough of that in my life lol) but I must admit I had to experience a few setbacks before I decided to take the Bull by the horns and counter my thoughts in the TEA forms nearly everyday. I think it is a habit for me now and I will stay with them, but I am human so I never know for sure. But at least I have experience knowing that maintenance is much preferable to damage control yeah

Okay now I need to blush after all the flattery from you and S.C. blush Note that I am not complaining though smilewinkgrin See my note above to S.C. for full disclosure. There have certainly been bumps in my road to wellness but I think I have learned from most of mistakes (and believe me that beats beating myself up or feeling sorry for myself) and that is what has me where I am right now.
Cool that you brought the old notes up for others again. I will be sure to check them out and give them a bump too yeah

I am so freaking proud of you as Lyn would have said. I wish you an awesome weekend too. I plan on being good to myself today and do a little lunch out and then to a movie, Footloose.

Aww you girls are so sweet to me. I really do need to come back more often idea
Hope you both had nice Thanksgiving and didn't have to spend as much time at the gym as I did afterwards.... My thighs seem to like stuffing a little too much lol.
