been on 1omg of celexa for about 6 days and my panic attacks have really dropped i start the full pill tomorrow
only problem im having is sometimes when i stand to go to bathroom or im in shower i feel uneasy like off balance kinda dizzy anybody expiriance this? will the celexa help with it
or could it be my ativan causing that feeling i only take 1mg cut in half a day.
btw celeaxa has done great for p.e.

The dizziness could be caused by your meds, and if so will hopefully be a temprorary side effect. I am really glad to hear that you have stuck it out and that you are feeling improvement from the panic...that is great news!

Keep up the good work, and I am sure that you will continue to feel better and better:)

Glad to hear your giving it a chance! Im on 20 mg and it has helped me as well, i tried 30 mg as per my doctor but was getting really dizzy so went back to 20 mg and it stopped just keep giving it a chance . All the best to you

Im definatley not a doctor and evryone is different, but my experience personally was to just keep going with it and trying . For me the dose is 20 mg and the only side effect i get are hot flashes but ill take those anyday compared to what i was dealing with , i am not 100 percent and it does not get fixed overnite but i am better. One thing that has helped me is keeping a daily log of how im feeling everyday, whether it be a little chest pain or alot, dizzy or not dizzy or just a good day or bad day, what this does for me is allows me to lOok back and see that i made it through some really bad days and that i also had some good days, this helps me ... Just dont give up keep trying you will find what works for you:)

I have had this side effect from several of the antidepressants when first starting them. Only one of the meds did I have to stop as the dizzy spells continued. I had good results with Celexa.

Remember to get up slowly and give your body a minute to adjust to the change in your position. You may be experiencing what is called postural hypotension. Postural hypotension, refers to a condition where the blood pressure falls after a change in body position. It happens when you change from lying or sitting to suddenly standing. The problem is relatively common and your medication may be causing this - just a thought. Drink plenty of water throughout the day.

If you continue to have problems do talk with your Dr. re the dizzy spells.

what im wondering is if it could have something to do with my eyesight
been about 4 years since my last eye exam
maybe the lenses are off
i seem to get dizzy with the glasses on

ehhhhhhh
been taking 10mg of celexa last night before bed was my first 2omg
gave me horrible brain zap or hot flash dont know which one and kept me up all night with dreams
is this normal should i go back down to 10mg

We can't say what is right/enough for you. I would follow your doctor's advice and wait and see how you resopond.

Everyone is so different...they may be able to tell you about their experience, but it could be very different for you, and for that reason, we can't recommend anything specific for one another...it is against the rules as it would be like giving medical advice.

I hope that you find the right dose to give you relief, but without the zaps and S/Es. I am sure that you will figure it out with a little trial and patience:)

what i meant to ask was with everyones expiriance does 10mg help it seems to help me with no side effects

No problem...that is great that it is working for you! I don't take meds, so I can't say, but I am sure that there are others who have similar stories of success.

How is this working out for your school/job? Hopefully you are batter able to focus and concentrate with the anxiety lessened (can't remember if you are still in school or working) I hope that it is making things easier for you either way!

well i was in college had to take this semester off due to the anxiety / panis
for some reason in school or in a restuarant i get nervous around people that something is gonna happen to me in front of everyone im still trying to get over this just dont know how...never had any of this panic until october
still worry that ima have a seizure i dont know why since its been 15 years
my biggest problem is i dont know if you can sense once coming so i think one is,

One of the things that I learned in therapy is to ask myself the question. "What is the worst thing that would happen if I was to faint/have a seizure, ect. in public?" I used to have this fear as well. I realized that I was really living through the fear and negative effects over something that had never happened, and that I had abosolutely no control over.

I don't know about you, but my core fear was really about losing control. Yes, the surface fears were about fainting/seizure/heart attack...you name it, but that wasn't the key issue...lack of feeling in control was.

If you can breathe through your panic, and tell yourself that it is probable that nothing bad is going to happen...and even if it does, it does, and you can't change a thing anyway, (in essence, let go of control completely) you just may fine yourself free of the fear that is holding you prisoner.

It 's funny when we face the thing that scares us...stare it down and say, 'So what?" It takes it's power away:)

This worked well for me...I don't know if you will find it helpful or not, but I thought I would share it with you.

Well, you are not making yourself sick...you are suffering anxiety and it is causing these thoughts and feelings.

Getting help through therapy and medication is a step in the right direction though, so keep up the good work!

at least the 10mg of celaxa has helped me because now i dont get to the point where my blood pressure goes up and its a full on ER attack'now i just get dizzy sometimes or THINK i am
