does anxiety cause this

last night i got a zap in my head on the side and it freaked me out and set off a attack now im dwelling

Zaps in the head I've only felt when I forget to take my Cymbalta for a couple of days, so it made me wonder if maybe you've missed a dose or something similar? On the other hand, I have had the experience of having a panic attack set off by a body ache or "twinge" that I felt. These often turned out to be stiffness from holding myself rigid in certain positions, which came from being afraid to move because I didn't want to feel that twinge again.

I realized that this was most often after sitting in the chair at the computer for too long without stretching. It would make my ribs and chest muscles tight, which made me think it was my heart, which set off a panic attack ... you get the picture. :)

Stretching regularly, breathing slowly and deeply, and being aware of this self-apralysis helped a lot.

You should've had a huge response after 3 wks - as your Dr maybe to increase to 20 Mg or try another one - idk your history but paxil & CYMBALTA worked great for me!

Remember, we are all different and we won't all respond to the same medication with a "huge" response.  Electrical "brain zaps" and aches and pains in the joints can be side effects of Celexa. 

2-3 weeks is about how long it takes your body to adjust to Celexa but remember that adjustments in doses may alter how long the side effects last.

If you feel strongly that this medication is not right for you, please do talk with your physician re trying a different med along with therapy.

Get up and out of bed ! Just getting out of bed is a good first step. When the depressive episode or the anxiety  is really bad, sometimes motivation starts with recognizing even the smallest steps as mini victories. Simply get up, take a shower, get dressed, and view it as a positive first step toward your goal.

Also I know you have posted many questions re the medications but remember it is not wise to up your doses of medications without the supervision of your Dr.
