I totally believe that there are some "quacks" out there that are totally overmedicating alot of people.
if you go to 5 diff. doctors, they will all tell you something different. you have to be your own advocate and know what's best for YOU. i tried lexapro and zoloft in the past and they both made me feel so not myself i couldn't stand it. i told my doc that i don't care how long it is supposed to take to change my chemistry or whatever, i'm not going to do it! i am not willing to feel way worse before i feel better! i mean if it's making me feel this bad, then how can it be good for me?? i think antidepressants are so overprescribed nowadays. it's the "magical cure" but i hear SOOO many people say that it makes them feel so bad or that they have to take 2 or 3 of them to work. i have a friend on a high dosage of zoloft who is a nurse and she is the most depressed person i know. it's sad.
i would say to only try once drug at a time. you can put too many prescription drugs in your body. that's why so many people are overdosing on them everyday. take care of yourself and if you are not comfortable with your doctor, please find a new one. i mean all doctors don't know all or are looking out for your best interest. only YOU can do that. :)
