17years ago I had anxiety!

I was agoraphobic 17 years ago and I overcame it along with the anxiety is less then a year, since then I have had a lot happen along with developing crohns disease and having a couple surgeries. Now in these 17 years I would have a little anxiety and depression nothing to bad. Now all the sudden everyone I need a kick in the butt!! A couple weeks ago I got the flu and ran a fever for 4 days with body ache. Head congestion and a dry cough. I did not cough much but coughed a little blood 3 times no more then a pencil eraser. Well I have been fighting anxiety ever since. I went to the urgent care and they did a xray and said my lungs are fine so how do I make myself believe this? Any ideas I took a half of Xanax this morning and I do have a script of Paxil if I want to start it or should I wait it out? Thank you for any advise

Hi Barbz,

I am sorry that you are feeling anxiety over this issue...I did respond to your other thread on the same subject...after you read it, I would ask that you delete that post (or this one) as they are essentially duplicate posts, and this is not allowed, so as to save space in the forums.:) (in other words you can leave only one of the two posts on this topic)

ok i have pretty much pulled myself together and decided I dont have lung cancer. its been a rough week but i came through it again.

Barbz,

WTG !  I suspect being  diagnosised with Crohn's at one time in your life has made you gun-shy when you get ill and your mind wanders into the "What if?" land.  Good for you for getting past this.

Keep us updated on how you are doing if you like and post anytime with questions or just sharing.  We are all dealing with similiar issues so you are not alone.

I do have to say this paxil is a wonder drug to! Have only taken it a few days and wow cant sit still and it dont let you do the what if! I did find that i cant take in the evening because i wake to early. ok you all have a blessed day and think only positive thoughts
