Hey Barb. Glad you had a good sleep and a good day. I had rough morning. I stayed home from work. My wife "forced" me to come out on a walk with her. Weather was great. It was a good move; it made me feel a little better. As the day went on, things improved. I was able to get some work done from home. Then I had some anxiety as I was going out to get dinner. I started thinking about
"worst case scenarios" and such negative thoughts. But managed to turn it around and am now doing better. I really hope I can sleep tonight. I
need
a good night's sleep. My choice is: (1) take just by newly-prescribed beta blocker and hope for the best, or (2) take a xanax too and increase my odds.

You really should start feeling better soon. Are you off work for the weekend? If so try to lay and relax do breathing exercises and write your neg thoughts down for example what if I go out and have a panic attack I'm so scared now change your that to SO What if I go out and have a panic attack ? It will be ok I know it is uncomfortable but I have had a panic attack before and it did not hurt me I will be fine I will breath slow and work through it. Start really working on changing your thoughts

I reduced my dose of Lexapro from 10mg to 5mg. This morning -- for the first time in a week -- I woke up far less jittery and nervous feeling. Still, a little bit -- but not too bad.
I still don't feel "normal" -- but today was better.
