help with meds to help anxiety

One of the downsides of psych meds is the side effects that tend to come with them I have not been on any of medication you are on at the moment but have been on similar. From what I know most ssri's don't cause drowsiness so are taken in the morning I am on Lexapro at the moment and have found that to work well for me. Benzodiazepines such as ativan will make you feel drowzy.

We are all different and what works well for one person may not for an other which is why it is good to keep in close contact with your doctor. It is also good to learn how to deal with the symptoms of anxiety so they don't impede on your life as much. A good way to do this is by doing talking therapies such as CBT which get good results especially alongside medication.

Hey Maggie,

I am not personally familiar with Geodon but from what I have read most patients take their full dose at night because it  causes drowsiness.  My question would be do you need the Ativan 0.5mg 3 times per day or do you use it on an as needed basis ?  Wish I could be of more help but do continue to advocate for yourself when it comes to your medications.
