hello everyone,

so today i went to the ER because of my abcsess that i still have on my neck. I also was very anxious/nervous.. thhey did some blood work. CBC and pee test. results came back okay. the doctor really didnt explain it to me but i have a MCH and MCHC a bit low. only a couple pionts i gathered sinced i have the results with me. THey are only about 2-3 pionts below the range. does anyone know what that means. My white and red blood count is good. i still feel abit nervous but a bit more calmed. trying to think possitive and keep my mind of off awful thoughts that create more anxiety for me.

The MCH and MCHC reflect the hemoglobin content of red blood cells. These RBC measures are used to diagnose types of anemia.

Normal value ranges may vary slightly among different laboratories. Talk to your doctor about the meaning of your specific test results. It does not sound like the Dr. discovered anything abnormal in the ER or he would have told you.  Did you get a discharge summary sheet from the ER ?  This form would have the discharge dx on it so you could look at that to see what the ER Drs. conclusion was today.

From the little that I know about it, it has to do with your hemoglobin and iron in your blood. Sorry that I can't be of more assistance.
