Hi everyone.
I've got tickets to see a talk given by someone I've admired since I was a girl but I'm staring to get a few nerves. i'm going to go no matter what mainly 1) it really is a once in a life time opportunity, he doesn't really do live talks and he is in his 80's now and 2) i spent $200 dollars on the tickets. Still I want to be clam enough to enjoy it. I'm hoping I'll get caught up in the experience and not stress. my seats are on the aisle so i won't get that penned in feeling. I've been doing pretty well lately so I'm hopeful :)
I hope every one had a good weekend

Hi Belle!
I am so glad that you are going to take this oppurtunity! I am sure that you are going to have a great time, and have some really good memories from this experience.:)
Sitting in the aisle seat is a good idea. You also have some time to mentally prepare, so using some positive visualization would be good. Picture the whole evening in your mind...everything from getting there, to the event, to getting home going smoothly. Anticipating a positive outcome goes a long way in enabling it to happen!
Big high fives, and let us know how it goes.:)

Hi everyone
I had a great time Monday night! I went to see David Attenborough. Some of you may know who he and understand why I was so excited. It was amazing! I had a bad start to the day. I was nearly an hour late for work because of train delays then accidentally getting on the wrong bus :S I was already tired by the time I got home but I went out to dinner with the friend I was going with. I did have some anxiety but I was OK. especially once the show started. It was such a thrill. I could go on forever about
it.
I hope everyone had a good weekend

Well done! I am so glad that you had a good time, and I am very proud of you for taking a risk and doing something that felt like a step outside of your comfort zone. You have proven to yourself again that you are stonger than you thought!
Keep up the good work!
